Charter Day

Sunday, March 8th

Charter Day is the celebration of the founding of Pennsylvania. To commemorate this occasion, Eckley Miners’ Village Museum will be open to the public free of charge. There will be free guided tours of the village (weather permitted) at 12:30pm, 1:00pm, and 2:00pm. (We ask that visitors sign-up ahead of the scheduled tour time at the front desk.)

We will also have Master Gardner, Maryann Serafini, from Penn State speaking on “Native Alternatives to Invasive Species” in our auditorium at 2:00pm.

This event begins at 12 pm and ends at 5:00 pm. The gift shop will be open from 12:00 pm- 4:45 pm.

Patch Town Days

Saturday and Sunday, June 20th & 21st

Come experience life in an 1800’s coal patch town. Details for this year’s festival are coming soon. This event begins at 10:00 am and most of the festivities end at 5:00 pm.

Eckley Car & Bike Show

Saturday, July 11th

Eckley’s summer car and bike show is fun for the whole family. Enjoy vehicles of years past, ice cream, live music, a 50/50 raffle, People’s Choice contest, and much more. If you are interested in having a car or bike in the show, please contact the museum 570-636-2070. Registration for the event is from 10 am until 12 pm. The event begins at noon and festivities end at 5 pm.

Haunted Halloween Lantern Tours

October 16th & 17th, 23rd & 24th

Beware! Creatures lurk in the darkened streets of Eckley. This hour long walk is full of scary stories and things that go bump in the night. Bring your own flashlight or purchase one in the gift shop.

Doors open at 6:00 pm and the last tour leaves at 9:00 pm. Tours are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Eckley Christmas Experience

December 5th & 6th

Christmas at Eckley has something for everyone! From Carolers to cocoa, crafts to St. Nick, you are sure to find something delightful in this old-fashioned Christmas celebration. The festivities began at 12 pm and end by 4 pm.
