Are you interested in learning about lifestyles of a 19th century coal mining village, but are unable to make an excursion? Perhaps another field trip isn’t in the budget, or your group is immobile.
The Traveling Trunk program is the perfect solution to your dilemma. A costumed interpreter will bring the trunk to your location and give an hour long presentation which will include a power point, a description of village life, and access to various artifacts and replicas which represent Eckley Miners’ Village.
This is an excellent way to learn about the history of Pennsylvania’s coal region without ever leaving your location! This program is best suited to class presentations, not auditorium shows. If you would like presentations for more than one class, we are more than willing to work that out with you.
This program will service organizations within 60 miles of Eckley Miners’ Village. The fees are listed below:
Within 40 miles: $50
*There will be an extra $10 travel charge to bring the trunk to a location over 40 miles away.
