Lecture – Hazleton Shaft Colliery: Dethroning Hazleton’s Industrial Era

In celebration of Anthracite Mining History Month, join us for an exciting in-person lecture and film screening. Atlantic Carbon mine engineer Justin Emershaw will take us on an historic ride through the development of the industry that birthed the City of Hazleton and laid the footprint for the City's future. The lecture will be followed by a screening of WVIA's The Secret Beneath Hazleton and a Q&A with Justin and documentary director Tim Novotney.
