School Tours & Youth Groups

Eckley Miners’ Village Museum offers a unique learning experience for visiting youths grades K-12. College and Adult groups are also welcome and can find pricing on our Group Tours page. As a preserved anthracite coal mining village, it is a historic site that gives children the opportunity to see what home life was like for immigrant mining families beginning as early as 1854. For information and to access our education resources that will enhance your learning experience at Eckley Miners’ Village, please visit the Education page. Please call 570-636-2070 for reservations or additional information.

School Tours (Grades K-12)

School Tours are offered throughout the year, but at least three weeks’ notice must be given prior to the intended tour date (please note that reservations are on a first- come, first serve basis). Large groups will be split to give the students the best experience possible. A school tour is flexible, and the Education Coordinator will work with the school’s representative to design a tour for the children.
